February 18, 2017 ~ 10AM-4PM @ SMITTEN ON PAPER ~ MONROVIA, CA
What to Expect
For this workshop, students are required to be familiar with the pointed pen. Students must know how to create shaded (thick) strokes and hairline (thin) strokes, and transition from thick to thin and vice versa.
Here’s what we’ll be covering in class:
– Review the fundamental concepts of Copperplate script (proportions, slant, shades, ovals, etc.)
– Learn the basic strokes of the uppercase letters and drill exercises
– Learn each uppercase letter
We want you to walk away from the workshop feeling confident to take on this beautiful script. We’ll share with you all of the things we’ve learned, the dos and don’ts, and, most importantly, how to practice at home.
If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to send us an email (firstname.lastname@example.org).
